Photographer Tom Bird's Cooling Tower series captures his continuing fascination with the structures

Tom Bird is a photographer with an interest in design orientated subject matter, who works on a variety of personal projects as well as taking on commissions within architecture, interiors and lifestyle.

Cooling Towers Pt. 2 is, as the title states, his second study photographing Cooling Towers. Tom has always been fascinated by these structures along with gas holders from a very young age. ‘Gazing out the car window they appeared extraterrestrial and compared to nothing else on the planet.’ he tells The Peep. ‘The series is just a simple study of the weathered pinkish coloured towers against a clear blue sky.’
